Without use of profanity, what should I say in my speech to capture the attention of the audience?

I am running for cl president in school. It's for next year, which is junior year for me. I have to make a convincing speech next week. I'm not the most popular person in school. Without use of profanity, what should I say in my speech to capture the attention of the audience (rest of the cl) and gain more votes?
