Biotechnology Career options?

My wife has a Bachelors and Masters in Science in Biotechnology from an oversees university. Then she migrated to US. We are trying to weigh what should be a good career move. What entry level job positions can she apply to? Are their any industry standard certifications which might help her (Not sure what is Cisco/ Microsoft of Biotech?) Will appreciate any istance!
